I really don’t pick it up as much as I do with Legend Night, which has better sillage with an equal number of sprays. At first, it can be pretty good, with a few solid sprays before it sits much closer to the skin. Projection wise, this EDT, doesn’t have a huge sillage. What I get is an aquatic cologne with cardamom leading the way, lavender in second, pink pepper and grapefruit sitting beyond that. The pink pepper is a dead ringer for that found in Guess Seductive. The pink pepper and cardamom, really seem to begin to carry this fragrance forward. As I said, it gets drier, the further along you get into the wear. It really seems to hit its stride, at about 10 minutes in, and everything starts to settle down.ĭuring the dry down, much of the citrus notes burn away. This gets more pronounced as the wear moves on.Īt the start, however, it is a nice citrus with water notes and pink pepper/cardamom giving it a depth and warmth. Pink pepper and citrus? Yes, but that’s about all.Įven though this Mont Blanc has an aquatic accord, it does have underlying dryness, from wood, musk, and oak moss. Invictus Aqua has a salt water aroma, that this lacks, and none of the cardamom. Yes, they are in the same sort of category, but not clones. Legend Spirit also gets compared to Invictus Aqua, but to me, it doesn’t really favor that fragrance either. On my skin, I pick up a lot of spicy warm cardamom, sitting in a watery base. Legend Spirit opens up with mainly grapefruit (with some bergamot) for the top citrus note, cardamom, and an aquatic accord. Does this new one smell like the original? Not really, other than sharing some citrus and lavender. So, Legend Spirit, is obviously a flanker fragrance to the original and popular Legend from Mont Blanc. Notes include: grapefruit, pink pepper, bergamot, musk, aquatic accord, lavender, cardamom, oak moss, woodĬlick here to try: MONTBLANC Legend Spirit Eau de Toilette, 3.3 Fl Oz For great green ones might as well try Heeley Menthe Fraiche as well. What does Mont Blanc Legend Spirit Smell Like? She'd get a green smell and it's very masculine and you'd get your "not a kid" scent. Īllure Extreme is a green one so maybe try Guerlain Homme Intense or original. And I already talked about Gris Clair from the great niche house of Serge Lutens. Few niche fragrances give me nearly as many compliments and appreciation as designer ones as they are easier to enjoy, but Geir Ness is one of those compliment getting niche ones. It's niche quality at designer price! And many people who love the Allure Homme family love this one but it's more mature and just way better than Allure. I stand by my previous suggestions starting with Platinum Egoiste (The first one you should try), which is not niche, if you want to try niche go and try Geir Ness Men. Very clean, women love it and it's easy to enjoy and very well made. You might have to do some sampling together and see where your tastes meet.Īlso give a try to Prada Amber. I'm trying to think of fragrances that could please the both of you from the very little I know.īut your girlfriend loves young fragrances to me while, based only on Knize Ten, you clearly love more mature ones than her. To please you both maybe try fragrances like Green Irish Tweed, Aventus, Royal Oud, Original Vetiver, Spice & Woods and even if I hate it, Silver Mountain Water. As Mitcha said Creed is kind of the "Designer", easier niche ones, and easier often means more compliments and preferred by the ladies if you are looking for it and please yours. You're changing your mind now And we have no base to give any niche suggestion really.
